Michigan State Police arrested an Onaway man for criminal sexual conduct and other charges after he turned himself in.

Police say the investigation began earlier this month when 47-year-old Oscar Bert Hilliker came to the MSP Gaylord Post saying he needed to speak with a trooper.

Hilliker believed he may have said and done something wrong.

Police say he told the trooper what he had done with a minor and that he had provided them with marijuana.

The victim was interviewed at the Child Advocacy Center in Alpena.

A report submitted to the Cheboygan County Prosecutor’s Office and an arrest warrant was authorized on April 16th.

Hilliker turned himself in at the Cheboygan County Jail later that day.

Hilliker was arraigned in Cheboygan County for one count Criminal Sexual Conduct Second Degree, one count Accosting Children for Immoral Purposes, and one count Contributing to the Delinquency of Children.

He was given a $20,000 bond.
